Arioch,
I check the board every once and a while. I don't post too much.
You should buy that album I mentioned. The last song on that CD is AMAZING!!!! I just wish the recording was better, but it was recorded in the 1920s, so what can you expect? lol
I haven't heard of him. What does he play? I'm assuming classical guitar. I'll have to check him out if he is half the guitarist Segovia is. Segovia is the Beatles of classical guitar. He made it acceptable to the classical world. The guy is a true bad ass.
I haven't really played classical guitar since high school (now 24 and a 3rd year law student). I've actually been thinking of going to buy a classical guitar since I miss it. I probably can't read any notes outside of first or second position, though. I've lost those skills over the years lol.
I used to play a lot of Bach, etc. Of course those were simple guitar arrangements compared to the true ones like Segovia, etc., play(ed), but it was my attempt at it. I always hated sitting in the classical form and resting my foot on a foot rest.
I need to pick it up again. I love just screwing around playing classical guitars and playing what I feel rather than arrangements. I'm also that way with electric and steel string acoutic guitars, though. My attention span is so short and have so many other things to do that I rarely put in the effort to master another person's music. I used to know how to play most Nirvana and Metallica songs, now I would be lucky to remember the basic riffs to any of their songs lol. I'm lazy. :D
