My video player broke a few years ago, load mechanism spring snapped. I've never bothered getting it fixed as my vhs collection is pretty much redundant. I've got some right shit films in my vhs collection, which I wont want to watch again. The better ones or ones that I want to watch again have been replaced with dvd.
None of the shops I buy from stock vhs anymore, I'd have to visit a second hand place or find a video rental shop with a bargain bin to rummage through to get vhs now.

laserdisc is done now .. but if you have an elite player ... the picture quality is better than DVD..
(waaaaaaayyyy less compression - same technology)
