**CONTAINS SPOILERS**
I think the problem some horror fans have with May is, it's not really a horror movie. It's more a psychological portrait that leads to the slaughter.
This movie has a ton of excellent moments
Both laundromat scenes
Her response to Adam's homemade movie
Cutting herself and then Anna Faris
Spraying the cat with Lysol or something
Falling on her butt at the restaurant
Crossing the street and Adam doesn't notice her
When Adam stabs her with the fake knife and she doesn't flinch.
When she comes home and watches the answering machine
Calling Adam and leaving the babbling messages
Her meeting the blind girl who notices she smokes
That's just a few of the really brilliant moments that make up May's fragile profile and lead to the conclusion.
This movie was made up of a lot of little things that most horror fans don't pay attention to, because they want to see the blood. Which is why I personally don't consider this a horror movie.
Anyone who watches this more than once, take notice that Angela Bettis never uses the same expression twice.
