The thing about The Omen remake was that The Omen (1976) still holds strong today. It didn't need jazzing up, it didn't need special effects, it didn't need a higher budget. It didn't need an update.

So when I watched it, I just felt like I was watching the same story by a different director within the same period of time (like the Exorcist prequels). It was a bad use of money, and whoever had the idea was too eager to hold off. "Remakes are hot right now, so we can't wait any longer! Isn't 30 years enough?! No one watches shit from the 70s anymore!"

And don't get me started about how uncreepy the new Damien looked.

Summary:
The Omen (2006) was a premature ejaculation.
