it's pretty weak, but I'm sure a lot of you will like it. The gore is nice, the mood is creepy, just don't expect to feel invested in any of the characters or to walk away feeling that this film added to the mythos in any real way except

************************SPOILER******************* ************
Leatherface's birth on the floor of the slaughterhouse and subsequent abandonment in a dumpster was pretty tasty.
************************* END SPOILER**************************

I kind of liked this one better then the remake, but the whole idea of a prequel to a remake that strayed far away from the original characters really begs the question why was this film necessary?
