Personally I was really looking forwards to "Hostel" when I heard about it and I saw the trailer and thought it looked awesome.
But after watching the film I was so disappointed - it could have been done so much better and, for some reason I was a little bit sickened by the idea of it all. I'm not sure why, it wasn't the gore or the torure as I have seen much worse. And I think tits and a bit of gore go well in a slasher-type horror film, but the way Roth did it really didn't work for me. Sometimes it nice to watch a "tongue in cheek" kind of horror but this was awful.
It has put me off a bit of his other films as I've not seen "Cabin Fever" and am likely not to after such a disappointing reaction to "Hostel".
