July 28, 2007 - On July 26, 2007, Steven Spielberg offered a live greeting for San Diego Comicon fans from the set of his new movie, the highly anticipated Indiana Jones sequel. "I'm here on the set of Indiana Jones and the...," Spielberg said evasively as the audience laughed. "I'm just extremely pleased to be able to tell you that after 18 years we actually have completed 25 days of shooting. I never thought this day would come that I could actually sit here and say we're finally making another Indiana Jones movie."

"We're having a great time," Spielberg said of the production. "For the last ten or twelve years, I've made a lot of different kinds of movies, many of them films that I really passionately need to make for myself. But this picture, I promise you, I'm making for you guys and girls; this is really all for you. And we're back and we're all in good form," Spielberg said as the camera panned left to reveal Harrison Ford sitting next to him, dressed in Indy's traditionally disheveled costume.

Ford seemed genuinely excited to be working on the film. "It's a great pleasure to be back with Steven, back in the sweaty, dirty clothes that Indy always wears, and glad to be making a dynamite movie. I'm so happy about this movie and the people that we have in it." Turning to his left, Ford said, "I want to introduce my sidekick, the venerable, veritable Ray Winstone, who is my sidekick in this film." Spielberg added, "he also plays Beowulf in Bob Zemeckis' film."

"I play the good-looking one in that film," Winstone said. Ford responded, "he thinks he's playing the good-looking one in this film too". Pointing to Winstone's left, Ford said, "that's the good-looking one," indicating Shia Le Beouf, who sat in a '50s greaser leather jacket, rolled-up jeans and motorcycle boots. "I don't know what I'm doing in this movie," said Le Beouf as the audience laughed. "I don't know how I'm sitting with all of you. This is insane."

"You have a modicum of talent, young man," Spielberg complimented Le Beouf. "We're all here but a lot of other cast members are not working today, so this is what you get. There's just one more thing, if I could," added the director, and walked off camera. He returned with a folding chair, the back of which read "Marion Ravenwood." Karen Allen walked over and sat down in front of the four men. "Hi everyone," Allen said. "It's great to be here on the set of the new Indiana Jones adventure, and great to be back in the boots of Marion Ravenwood. I'm just thrilled to be working with Steven and Harrison and Shia and Ray, and so Comicon is getting the first peek of us all together as a family," she said with a laugh.

"We're a little older, a little wiser, a little richer," said Spielberg to the crowd. "But we're really happy to be here, and like I said before, this is all for all of you, and we're making this picture with every single one of you in mind. Every single shot, I'm always thinking, what's the audience going to think? So thank you very, very much, and we're out of here."

The lights raise as the sweeping Indiana Jones theme plays over the loudspeakers.
