I actually thought of another couple of useful weapons...
It being November, near local election time, there is a veritable cornucopia of "ELECT ___!!" signs posted into many and various lawns. Also, going through our current housing crisis, there are just as many "FOR SALE" signs conveniently located in just as many lawns...
Kick to the sign over and you're left with a jagged wooden stake.
Would also work with wooden mailboxes.
