It was Frankenstein, Dracula and the Wolf Man I first saw, however these were on the late show on TV and not at the movies. Also we had a horror movie host called Morgus The Magnificant who presented these films as well but at an earlier time.

I got into Sci Fi in the 50's with Them, War of the Worlds, When Worlds Collide and The Day The Earth Stood Still. I saw these at the movies either with my parents or my buddies.

When I first saw The Bride of Frankenstein on TV and when the face came out with that mechanical movement it scared the living hell out of me. I had to go change my bloomers!

Countess Marya
Old movies.

That reminds me... First horror movies that my parents showed me:

Carnival of Souls. SERIOUSLY scared the HELL out of me.
Psycho. Scared me. But not as much as Carnival.

I also remember them showing me Killer Klowns from Outer Space... That scared me too.
