Ugly People Shop at Walmart (Redux)

I'm actually combining two previous threads in this one, I'm thinking new people = new answers. Mainly I'm lazy and don't want to think of new thread topics though.

Now before you say anything, I shop at walmart too. ;)

Have you ever noticed that when you go to a flea market or your local walmart, most of the people shopping there are atleast somewhat ugly and some are just downright freakish. When you go to the mall or something there are a lot more beautiful people walking around it seems.

Why is this? Because ugly people are generally poor and pretty people are generally not.

I think contrary to popular belief, looks are more important than intelligence when it comes to earning money.

I know "shallowness" is not a nice personality trait in most people's eyes, but neither is ignorance. Society cares. If they didn't care about appearance and make shallow assumptions, nobody would have a hard time getting a job because of how they looked (piercings, tats etc.)

On average, rich people live longer. Dealt with a much harder life, poor people are more prone to suicide, drug addiction, crime etc. On average, rich people are smarter. Having all the educational oportunities that a lot of poor people aren't able to afford.

Isn't it depressing to know how much your life depends on your parents? It's rare for a child born into a poor family to ever be rich. I mean it happens, but it's not nearly in the same range as rich parents and rich kids.

I used to be so against plastic surgery, but I've come to the decision, that not only do I accept extreme attempts to attain beauty, but I applaud them. It must take guts to leave your face/body in a surgeons hands. I think most people underestimate the power of beauty, and can't understand any pursuit of it that goes above and beyond the norm.

Would you ever encourage your child to get plastic surgery? If your child wanted to get plastic surgery, would you oppose them?
