yeah, you're thinking of
oldboy, which is the second film in chan-wook park's "vengeance trilogy." it goes:
- sympathy for mr. vengeance (2002)
- oldboy (2003)
- lady vengeance (2005)
ichi the killer is great, though. one of my favorite gore-fests (and a really neat yakuza film to boot).
