2001: A Space Odyssey is better enoyed if you give up trying to "get" it. Now, I'm not saying "you're wrong" or "I'm right", I'm just suggesting another viewing with a different train of thought.

I had the GREAT fortune of seeing 2001 in its initial release in one of the country's tru Cinerama theatres on a near 180 degree screen. TWICE. Visually stunning is an understatement. It was mindblowing. It's the only way to really see that movie.
