I'd LOVE to see Eckhart in the role but his Batman connection blows him for the gig. Gosling is too small - great actor, but I just don't see him in the role.
Both Fillion and Boreanaz are TV guys so no dice there.
I can't think of the right man for the job. All the stars that come to mind are eaither too young (Chris Pine), too old (Dennis Quaid, Bill Paxton), too soft (Benden Fraser) or box office poison (Thomas Jane).
I'm going to have to give this some serious thought.
