The Seventh Seal' will receive its Blu-ray premiere on June 16, day-and-date with a new standard DVD re-issue.
In the classic film, a man seeks answers about life, death, and the existence of God as he plays chess against the Grim Reaper during the Black Plague.
Tech specs will see a BD-50 dual-layer presentation with remastered 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video (1.37:1) and a restored Swedish PCM 1.0 Mono soundtrack.
Extras include a 2003 introduction by Bergman, audio commentary by Bergman expert Peter Cowie (with new afterword), the "
Bergman Island" 83-minute documentary, a Woody Allen tribute to Bergman, filmography, collectible booklet, and the theatrical trailer.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $39.95.
