Even though the quality unarguably dips/drops (this was definitely due to network pressure and a loss of creative control by Lynch and Frost, and the people left in charge had no idea what to do with the show with it being such a unique vision) after the Laura Palmer saga, I still think the world of Twin Peaks that was originally created is
so interesting and enamoring that, despite those 8 or so bad episodes, it's still one of my top 5 favorite shows ever (I can forgive the bad episodes). I really think the quality returns big-time during those last three episodes, when Lynch and Frost were making their way back into the picture. You can see the mess that was made of the show slowly being crafted into something great, but by then it was too late. I bet that if the show hadn't been canceled, the third season would have been awesome.
