Festival of Fear 2009 Pics

Just some pics for now.

when i get a chance i'll throw in descriptions and thoughts.

Udo Kier .. as mentioned by 'Return' (i hate using nicknames once i've met someone)
his line was dead all weekend. unbelievable. I think i was the first one he saw .. i know i bought the first (and one of the only) photo ops.
I found him to be a really nice guy and he shared my frustration that unless you were associated with star trek or star wars - no one knows who you are. (deodato, h.g. lewis, and gunnar hansen had the same thing happen in the past)
I bought a t-shirt from him, got 3 him to sign 3 DVDs, and a photo op.
He was telling me about seeing a huge french version poster of Flesh For Frankenstein at one of the vendors. he was tempted to buy it but it was $$$. well that planted a worm in my brain and when i ended up seeing the poster - i bought it ... went back and got Udo to sign it (he was a bit shocked - pleasantly suprised actually) .. so much so he grabbed a photo and signed that for me for free ..

I can unerstand him getting pissed at people who just stop by to say hi .. when you're surrounded by star trek guys who's fans stop by to pay $30 for an autograph and say hi.

the picture above - he tried to get the girls to pose for me but i wanted a shot of them talking to him :)

James Duvall .. super nice down to earth guy. (he played the bunny Frank in Donnie Darko). I got him to sign May .. which prompted a nice conversation about Angela Bettis and working in Canada. There was no one in his line so we chatted for quite a few minutes until people showd up and i thought i'd better give them their time.

a 'sniper shot' of Linda Hamilton. I met her and she was funny and nice (and gorgeous) but i was too late to get a photo op which really bummed me out. I usually try to get more obscure stuff signed but i'm such a fan of Terminator and T2 that i had to get those done.

Canadian (ottawa) filmmaker Brett Kelly. I met him a couple of years ago and have participated on his forum since. He makes very low budget films .. he sells off props from past films to finance new films .. and i've bought a couple. I admire this guy.. he lives his passion.
His 'My Dead Girfriend' is my favorite of his - so far.
