I had a strange dream occurrence over last night...in which I actually realised fully that I was dreaming, but that didn't effect the actual dream?
I won't go fully into detail, but myself and a few other people were in a place that was like falling apart? not actively, but the place was fucked up...decrepit.
There was bits and pieces of buildings, caves, there was ice? weird.
So at one point the group is attacked by some giant thing, like about 3x the size of a large human, with a huge axe or hammer or something.
So myself and one other person jump down into some water where we watch this thing kill the rest...it sees us down there but for some reason cannot go in there.
The water leads down to a channel that once swam through, lead to another area...when we got there, the thing was waiting, so down we swam again.
Now I stopped in the middle of the water channel to think about how I was going to deal with the situation, and I realised that I was breathing...I was actually hearing myself breathe "outside" the dream, so yeah this was the point I realised it was in fact a dream...often if that happens it'll wake you up, but nope, stayed in the dream. Though I think the realisation took the dream in another direction at this stage....
So yeah just thought I'd share.
