This could be a good thing.
The only movie in the series that I really enjoyed was Dead Man's Chest, and that because - despite a bunch of over-the-top action sequences - it was primarily focused on the story. Sure, At World's End decided to take that story and make it ridiculously convoluted, but still...I digress.
If they aren't able to waste as much money on silliness, chances are that the storytelling will be stronger. I really could care less how this turns out, but it would be nice to see another solid pirate flick.
