Capcom has announced that it will release a prequel/prologue chapter of its upcoming horror action game - Dead Rising 2.

The prologue of the game dubbed as Dead Rising 2: Case Zero would be released for Xbox 360 via Xbox LIVE for 400 Microsoft Points ($5).

Dead Rising 2: Case Zero is a prequel episode that connects the original game to the upcoming sequel Dead Rising 2. Case Zero starts in a deserted town - Still Creek where DR2's protagonist Chuck Green and his daughter Katie, deal with zombie outbreak. This prologue chapter is set two years after the Willamete incident of Dead Rising and Frank West. The Dead Rising 2 game begins three years after this prologue chapter.

You get to play DR2's protagonist Chuck Greene who's on a quest to supply zombie plague inhibiting drug with Zombrex.

This prologue chapter will be exclusive to Xbox 360 owners only - sorry PS3 owners. Last week, Capcom announced Dead Rising 2 Zombrex edition for PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles.

The experience and achievements unlocked in Case Zero can be taken forward to Dead Rising 2 on Xbox 360. So get ready to download this prologue from Xbox LIVE from August 31.
