A fun double feature:
1) "Gorgo" (1961)
Plot: IMDB
A salvage vessle is nearly sunk off the Irish coast by an undersea earthquake. A few nights later, a walking sea monster tangles with the fishing boats and enters the town. The salvage vessel captures Gorgo and takes it to London for display. Gorgo's mother, who is upset and significantly larger follows his trail to London leaving a wake of destruction in her path.
Phantom's Review: Entertaining imitation "Godzilla" Interesting story, decent FX and a cool looking monster. Lots of fun.
2) "Mad Monster Party" (1967)
-Boris Karloff
Plot: IMDB
When Dr Frankenstein decides to retire from the monster-making business, he calls an international roster of monsters to a creepy convention to elect his successor. Everyone is there including Dracula, The Werewolf, The Creature, Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde and many more. But Frankenstein's title is not all that is at stake. The famous doctor has also discovered the secret of total destruction that must not fall into the wrong hands!
Phantom's Review: a Halloween treat for the whole family. You have horror legend Karloff as the voice of Dr. Frankenstein and some entertaining animation from the Rankin-Bass Company. One of my favorites.
