The last book I read was Brian Keene and Nick Mamatas' The Damned Highway. Hunter Thompson vs. Cthulhu. Totally badass and a perfect companion to Mamatas' very cool Move Underground. Also, Laura Lee Bahr's Haunt. My reactions to this book:
