Interesting lists! I notice though that you have mostly seen films made within the last 20-30 years. Go back quite a ways farther into the films of the past and you will find much entertainment and enlightenment in the subtler breed of horror, the type that allows you to exercise your imagination.
For example, the original "13 Ghosts" is something I much, much, MUCH prefer to the remake "Thir13en Ghosts" with its hip stylish title misspelling. In fact, go check out as many William Castle films as you can! There is fun to be had there too.
