if so...yeah... a pretty good movie with some great atmosphere......though it kind of fell apart towards the end....if memory serves me correctly.
perhaps another watch is in order

Yes, it starts off with a double cross after a heist, which is a pretty interesting premise.

I agree with both of you - the ending was a bit of an eye-roller (honestly, a grenade exploding inside a plane and the plane wasn't blown to bits?, and that last transmission which said about the plane being flown all the way back to the base with the pilot in a "dazed" state?) but overall it was a pretty decent film. Much better than the contemporaries around that time (heck even better than most of the ones we have these days).
I like the way how they leave only hints about the farmer and his two sons (?) and what could possibly be the secret behind the scarecrows. And that whole sequence of the robbers getting offed and coming back, behaving perfectly normally. Specially the one at the end. Good stuff.
Promising film. They could have polished off the edges and gave it a better ending (the plane exploding and the debris falling near the fields, giving rise to more scarecrows, a chilling end) and it could have been a gem of a film. As it is, it's pretty good by itself IMO.

Excellent. The cinematography at times is distinctly Hammer-esque, though it was made by the Cannon guys.
Really loved this one, specially the nostalgic 80s background score (so reminiscent of
The Wraith, Street Hawk, etc.). Going to be one of my guilty pleasures (specially because of that superb Elisabeth Shue bathroom scene...mmmmm...)
