If it is "almost" no budget and you have "names" in it, why do you need my money to make this film? If the names involved don't help you scrape together a few thousand dollars of pre-sale the you've got the wrong names in your film.
Pre-sale? What's that? We're renegade amateurs passionately slaving over a zero-budget film in homage to a bygone era that we miss. That's where the "old has-beens" come into the picture. We need money because films aren't free to make. As far as your money is concerned, we can live without it. We've got beautiful young chicks and horrific villians (sic) as you requested, but one thing we don't have or want is jaded, snarky collaborators -- so you're off the hook.
