They just haven't really ever handled the character right IMO.

Hm...I think he
was a pretty good villain, both his original components knowing both Parker AND Spider-Man, putting the two together to fuel the hatred the character had for both.
The way he stalked the character and the family, while getting around the one power that would normally detect danger (did that even get touched on in the movie?), he was formidable.
Then, they went and made him an "anti-hero", the first few of which outings were not bad, such as his involvement witht he maximum carnage series, lethal protector, the sin-eater stuff...but from then on, it was kind've pretty hit and miss.
The character has become pretty obsolete now.
Though if they could capture on film the character he once was, when he was a true threat...if they could represent him well, I'd love to see it.
Each to theirs though.
As for the Sinister 6, well...not sure if/how that many villains on film together will work...perhaps if they string them throughout the series, and made sure to dedicate a portion of the film to things from their perspective and their interactions with each other, that could be cool.
I'd very much like to see the chameleon, I'm sure he's at one time been in an incarnation of this team. Kraven would be terrible IMO.
I noticed the trailer not only had a Rhino-esque character, but also seemed to hint at the likelihood of an S6, you see Oscorp doors/cells marked 1-6 with some articles that kind've point it out.
Could be interesting.
