Although not as creepy, iconic and well made as the original one I still found the remake to be fun and interesting.
Some of the bits are really played out and the story gets a little over explained by the end of it but I applaud them for tweaking the story and making it their own so were not left with a shot by shot remake of the original.
In the end it doesn't live up to its predecessor but its still a fun monster movie.
