These were guys that were on our TV sets every day presenting cheesy 80s and early 90s shows, interviewing stars and providing light entertainment, but not actors. It was presented, advertised and sold as a TV show, not a ghost story/ movie. Now, if you go and watch you'll probably find the acting pretty tragic, the script cliché and everything just a little bit embarrassing and lame. Even at the time, watching it at a young age you, as things unfolded you knew pretty quickly it was a set up. But still something about it and the familiarity of the roles of the 'stars' made everything just a little bit more unnerving and real. It has some legitimately scary scenes in there too. Put into context, this is one of the most innovative shows I've ever seen.

Totally agree, one of the best mockumentaries I have ever seen.
Highly recommended.
