I've used one before, they're pretty good, yeah - great for stir frying, also pretty handy to slow-cook a curry in as well.
I only have one that goes on the stove top at the moment, which works well as I actually have different sized gas ports on there.

I've never used a gas stove all the joints I've lived at have been electric.

I've a fuck off big crafond wok - i love it to bits...never tryed the electric type..

I had a normal one but the oven in my place is to shitty to heat it up decently. The electric one works a treat and gives a even heat.
