El día de la Bestia/The Day Of The Beast (1995)

Spanish satanic black comedy/horror directed by Álex de la Iglesia. If you *got* the humour in May (2002) you will love the humour and horror here. It's a strange comparison but there's something similar in the characterizations and tangible awkwardness on play here. Anyone else seen this? I think I saw it recommended in one of the sticky threads.

I've had this on the shelf for a while. I think it's time to give it a chance. Recently, I watched THE HOUSE THAT SCREAMED, which also bears some semblance to MAY. I do hope this fairs a little better.

I saw it a couple of years ago when I was looking for Christmas related horror. Expected something completely different but was pleasantly surprised. I recommend it. |
