Freddys house

My girlfriend and I recently went out to West Hollywood. We stayed with some friends that live there. We were surprised and delighted to find out that the house they used to film the original Nightmare on Elm Street was only about two blocks away from where we were staying.

*This house is in the middle of a residential neighborhood. It is not identifiable unless you know what you are looking for. People currently live here. {Would you want to live in Freddy's house?}

*It isn't on Elm Street, although there is an Elm Street nearby. It is on Genesee Street.

And here's one we took on our black and white camera.

thats prety cool..

interesting though that they actually used a house rather than just some set. or did they only use the front of the house and all the scenes were in a set somewhere?

anyways.. neat find.

That's cool. (I'm not sure I'd actually eat anything they served, but it's cool nonetheless.)

Yeah, I already live in my house. What kind of question is that?

Actualy, it did use to be on Elm Street. They didnt move the house, they swiched the street names. Cause some parents were mad cause their children tired going in it and were scared of it and didnt want to sleep. When the people that make all the names or whatever herd what the mothers were mad about, they simply said "hey, you shouldn't have even showed a young child that movie, so its your fault really." But, hey, everyone knows Freddy, he's better known then Santa. And so, after a lot of petitions, they swiched street names.

Freddy, if it's true about the street-switch, the parents of the Genesee Street children must've been thrilled...

Bwind...I just gotta know - where the stairs ACTUALLY filled with sticky goo?
