Diary of the Dead!

I don't care what anybody says, I have unabashed man-love for George Romero. He made my favorite horror film of all time Night of the Living Dead and his subsequent efforts haven't been so bad.

Dawn, Day, Land (well, let's not talk about "Land"), Martin, the Crazies

This guy delivers the goods and a couple of friends who went to Sundance told me that Diary of the Dead was the best film they saw at the fest.

I just bought my tickets for the Feb 13th sneak preview at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood where George Romero will be doing a Q&A after the show. I may have to introduce myself.

wooohoooo!:D

can't wait! although who effing knows when i'll get to see it here in indiana.
i might have to make a trip to chicago to remedy this.

"Feast of the Dead (2010)

Director - George A. Romero
Screenplay - Sean Keller

This new ultra-gory flick carries the tradition of Night, Dawn, Day and Diary in a faithful way and takes us back to the nostalgic and atmospheric creepiness of Night of the Living Dead.
"

I am expecting that^, Sean. Nothing less!:D

Romero can do no wrong in my eyes. I'm down with any film the man makes. I know a lot of people around here didn't like Land of the Dead. I thought it was lacking, but it was still pretty good. I do hope Diary of the Dead is much better though.

Diary is going to be amazing. When it is release on some screens later this month I will be there. It is playing about 15 minutes away from my house so I cannot wait to see it.

Also if Sean wrote a new Dead screenplay and Romero directed it that would be the ultimate for him and it would be so fucking awesome to see.

I must say that, as much as I hate it, I'm a bit skeptical. I read in Fango that he's doing it in the "Cloverfield" faux-documentary style, with hand-held digital throughout. I hate that style (however, I loved Blair Witch, but that's a long story) but, if anyone can really make it work, it'll be one of my favorite directors of all time, George motherfuckin Romero.

...but I'm more looking forward to Mother of Tears.
...and anything the Hatchet guy has in store for us.....

That's me as well, I thought Land of the Dead was a tad disappointing considering what I had come to expect from Romero, but I still enoyed it, and I am not as crazy about Day of the Dead as most are. But there isn't really a Romero film that I have seen that I haven't really liked.
So looking to this, but yes, hoping it is a better film than Land of the Dead.
