The Avengers trailer!

Premake, if you know what that means. ;)

Check out this extremely clever and impressively convincing one assembled by a dedicated Marvel fan named Ivan Guerrero. His teaser for an imagined 1940s "Avengers" movie is inventively compiled from period serials for actual Avengers like Captain America along with look-alikes such as (Iron Man stand-in) Commander Cody from "Radar Men From The Moon". Guerrero goes back through the Hollywood vault to find old clips that do the job, and for The Avengers, that means picking from classics like House of Frankenstein and Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman to create a faux trailer where the Skrulls muck up life on Earth.

As an added bonus, the pre-make is overflowing with references that go much further than just the obvious Captain America or Thor. You'll spot the Daily Bugle and Peter Parker, see Yul Brynner pop up as Charles Xavier (he was the physical inspiration for the character), and even see one Emma Peel jump ship from the other notable Avengers.

The three-minute spot loosely adapts the recent Marvel comic "Secret Invasion".

All the easter eggs right here -

I would honestly buy that from Amazon this very second if it had been real. Incredibly well made trailer.

That was awesome....

I liked how the font for the word Suspense is the exact same one used on the cover of the old Tales of Suspense comics...

Great trailer. Would probably be more entertaining than most movies out now.

Thumbs up

Excellent work that's been done with lots of care & passion as a true fan of comics! I'm just wondering how awesome it could be if it was for real...
