Konami announced last year, that it is getting remade.

Bloober Team are making it in collaboration with Konami. So I would imagine the story will be pretty much the same.

I am kind of tired of seeing so many remakes, though, so it's a good thing they revealed some original games are also in the pipeline. "Townfall" and "f", etc.
