Dark Sided -Trading Spouses

Not sure if everyone (or anyone) has seen this - but there was a fairly famous episode of the Fox show Trading Spouses with t his ultra-christian woman named Marguerite who was put with a new-age astrology family and then at the end when she returned home she has a MAJOR FREAK-OUT - screaming about the occult and being a Jesus-Warrior and the whole thing being "DARK-SIDED".

I was sitting here - very bored at work - and googled her and found that she has a website - and endless celebrity appearances, and so does the other (new age) mother - and they are sniping back and forth at each other. . . . it really makes me wonder about this whole internet thing - - -maybe we should just shut it down.

I did see that show. And came away thinking "This is the kind of person that gives Christians a bad name!". And I still have that opinion. This woman is off her nut! I also remember the expressions on her husband's and kids' faces when she was going through this whole tirade - like they couldn't believe she was doing this and thinking "Who is this person?". Since I'm a glutton for punishment I think I'll check out her website.

Another case

This is why we shouldn't allow brothers & sisters to mate. Has she escaped the Hills Have Eyes set? Jesus needs to be a bit more picky in his followers.

Wow...I read the letters between the two women...I can't believe that the person who calls herself a 'Christian' could seem so spiteful, and prone to spreading gossip...

I also found it interesting that while she DEFINITELY wants her opinions about HER religion to be heard by everyone in the world, she refuses to accept, consider, or even LISTEN to the opinions of anyone whose beliefs oppose her own...

Sweetheart, you should have seen the show!! The way she was acting was actually making me cringe. It was one of those shows that's like a train wreck: you don't want to look but you can't look away! I really felt bad for her husband and daughters. They looked like they didn't know what to do!

^^ That's true in about 85% in all situations regarding Christians. I truly applaud those that actually took JESUS'S message to heart. The rest can kiss my Pagan ass.

Yeah...It sounds pretty sad.....How will her children EVER be able to discuss anything with her?...I mean, her whole attitude is like "Listen to me but I'm not gonna listen to you, because I'm right and you're wrong...My opinion and beliefs are the only ones that matter"...The kids will never feel like they can express their feelings about anything...

I can't imagine how she'd get ANYONE to listen to her with that attitude...She is definitely making a bad advocate for Christianity...Think about this...How many people see and hear her and think, "If THIS is what it means to be a 'Christian', I want NO part of it...I don't wanna be that kinda person"?...And if her religion brings her so much happiness, and she loves her God so much...Why is she so damned HATEFUL?

Exactly, Rayne! I see Christians like her (yes, there are MORE of them) and I hesitate to say to anyone that I'm a Christian. In my case, I have taken Christ's teachings to heart and TRY to live as he did. I say try because I'm human and, therefore, am not perfect. I have my bad days when I'm a raving bitch, I have a bit of a "potty-mouth", and I'm not always good at "treat others as I would like to be treated". I'm successful at that about 99.9% of the time. I'm not going to get into "Bible thumping" here because that's just not me, but what you wrote struck a chord with me and I had to tell you how much I agree with you!
