Just a suggestion...
I was thinking about downloading some tv shows/movies from various sites.
One problem I encountered was not being able to find single episodes of a lot of shows, rather folders with the whole series...which would be great, sure, if they weren't something like 5gig, half of my monthly d/l limit... Movies are usually ok, but you never really know if you're getting a decent file or garbage until the download is complete...and it's kind of a large chunk of time and d/l limit to potentially waste So, my idea was this - what if we were to post a lost of the movies/tv shows on dvd we had, and make them available for eachother to pick and choose what we liked? Of course everyone would have to share something to get something in all fairness, and that's not much of an ask, most everyone has at least 5-10 dvds lying around, right? They don't even have to be originals to make it work. I've got a HUGE amount of stuff (well, by my standards anyway) so...it's obviously up to the moderation whether or not this goes through (on the site anyway)...just thought I'd get the idea out there...I know that between all of us, the pickings would be pretty good. So...discuss...

That would be really great for me. I like your idea. Could make them zip files or the like so initially not to take up tons of room on the computer, because if you're like me, someone might be sharing a computer. Movies can take up a lot of room. ('Course, once someone saw a movie they could delete it).
That's a really good idea, Cheeba. It would help some of us poor folks out tremendously. :)

So, anyone who's down with the idea, I propose we post a list of the movies/series we'd be willing to put onto a torrent client, and go from there?
If this thread isn't locked by tommorow I'll assume it's all good by the moderation to DISCUSS this here, and I'll put up a list of my stuff, in the meantime, you folks go ahead.

I'd be interested if not for a "court order"* to no longer do bittorrent
*-okay, it's technically not a 'court order' but I was told not to bittorrent anymore by the ISP in exchange for Lion's Gate Films not persuing any legal action for me downloading Saw, so...yeah...
