The Mummy Archives
Mummy Curse Lives at Dimension
Source: Los Angeles Times May 5, 2010 Dimension Films, King of the Hill director Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego and Douglas Wick (Gladiator) are coming together to tap into the lore of the Mummy. The Los Angeles Times says Lopez-Gallego is writing, and will direct, a film about "a mummy curse, with the action playing out very much in the unseen realm, as both the audience and the characters frequently experience the effects of the curse without seeing it explicitly." The film will be called The Mummy Archives and is budgeted around the $5 million range. A far cry from the bloated budgets of Universal's "Mummy" franchise.
