Watched the film and like it, not love it but find it superior to much of what is comming out now.
Want to add: Amer (visually staggering but Jebuz, needs amphetamines to pick up the pace) Tulpa Fear! Argento pic! Yeah! |

Evil Dead Trap, very heavy giallo influence on this Japanese movie.

That movie was unusual to say the least. Have to admit I didn't like it following the first viewing but did appreciate the cinematography. Second viewing though made me come to enjoy the film. Unquestionably Asian Giallo. Have you seen the second or third installments of the franchise? Love to know what they are like. Good taste in films Shady. |

I haven't seen the others Evil Dead Traps.
Another movie which I thought had heavy Giallo influences was Perfect Blue. If Argento had made an Anime, that is what the result would have been like. |

Aaaaah
Agreed. I've given my copy to a few friends to watch and LOVED Perfect Blue. Although not a huge Anime fan I still like a number of them and I do admit having a thing for Robotech. Perfect Blue was based on factual events apparently? Or is this another example of marketing to give an heir of legitimacy to the plot? Anyone else seen Aaron Kwok in Murderer though? What a strange film. I thin I should add his other film the Detective (also I believe known as Detective D, NOT to be confused with Detective Dee) |

Thanks. There's a modern giallo that I'm going to buy on dvd. It doesn't seem to be out yet but I saw clips of it on The Horror Channel called Yellow it looked good very Tenebre-esque according to what the director said in the interview promoting it.

If you are referring to the Argento film Giallo featuring Adrian Brody I saw it and was very dissapointment. I'm a huge Argento fan and am fond of many of his lesser films, however Dracula and Giallo I would prefer to forget. Although Card Player has its flaws is it far superior. |

Disappointed jeez. Autocorrect makes my look like English is not my first language. Check out Amer or Tulpo. Neither are perfect, opinions on Amer seem polarized. However both have great visual appeal.
