It's been a bad year for nightclubs. This, the fire in Rhode Island at the Great White concert and the C2 stampede in Chicago. A lot of senseless deaths. There's going to be a lot of changes after these.

but it's clear as day, that the security in some of these venues is shite. Dont they search or have detectors to stop loonies taking guns into places like this??? I would have thought, when letting the guy in he'd have looked a bit suspicious, trying to conceal a gun.....unless this loonie was good at acting 'normal' infront of the public, just waiting to carry out his business.

The really funny thing is that epople will be saying "why wasnt he checked before hand? if they had searched him and found the gun, those people wouldnt have died."

Many of these same people would say "Why to i have to wait so fuckign long to get on an airplane. Im not a terrorist. what a pain in the ass, they dont have the right to search me...."

Not to split hairs , but The Station fire was in February of 2003. I live in R.I. and had gone to that nightclub many,many times. There has already been lots of changes concerning fire codes and such. Some clubs even had to close down because of the cost to keep their buildings up to the new codes.

Now that I think about it, the C2 club stampede must've been 2003 as well (it happened a week before R.I.).

From what I read, it seems the person that shot him may have been upset over Pantera breaking up and was blaming Darrell for it. The band that was performing had two of Pantera's members but was called Damageplan. Unbelievable. He was one of the best metal guitarists ever.
