i'm trying to get a part time job, so i'm going to be paying for gas.
my dad and i are trying to work out some sort of agreement that i pay for 1/4th of my insurance

I drive a Civic EX, so I'm going to have to go with the civic ;)
Seriously, though...they're great cars...dependable, and sporty. AND...the best part is they keep their value...so even if you get rid of it in 7 or 8 years, you're still going to get a good trade in amount. :) PLUS...it has a sunroof! ;) Do you NEED another reason? :D
