Definitely not for the "Lite" beer drinkers. |

I tend to prefer the dark stuff, like stouts and porters. I just finished the Founder's Breakfast Stout. It's strong chocolate and coffee, but oh so delicious.

Well, I'm not a huge fan of the "heavier" beers and normally chug the lite variety but you guys have me curious...I think I'm going to have to give these chocolate and coffee beers a whirl next weekend...The last dark type beer I tried was Trippell and I thought it was horrible...It took me about 4 months to choke down a six pack of that, lol...

I know I can probably find the Sam Adams variety pack Newb mentioned and I will definately pick that up. I'm going to keep my eyes open for the Founders Breakfast Stout you mentioned, it looks extremely interesting, lol!

The distribution is mostly concentrated in the Midwest, with some availability in New England as well. You're in Kansas? You might be able to find it there. If not, I can give you some other recommendations if you'd like.

Good call on the KBS! Founder's is my favorite craft company. The brewery is actualy about a 15 minute drive from my house. We go once and awhile. My favorite by far is the Centennial IPA though or maybe the Porter! Yum! They throw concerts often, really nice place! Glad to see others enjoying my hometowns brews!

I live in Colorado, surrounded by fantastic micro breweries. Out of all of them, these are my favorites. If you see them at your local liquor store, do yourself a favor and check them out:
Left Hand Brewery: Milk Stout Odell Brewing: 90 Shilling Twister Pine: Hoppy Boy New Belgium: Fat Tire (probably the easiest of the four to find.) |
