Gonna have to throw a vote to Dr. Henry Jekyll/Mr. Edward Hyde... One of the best acting performances in a horror movie, ever, from Fredric March.

I really like Lon Jr in the Wolfman, one of my favorites. Lon just fits well, not that his acting was that great. I have to vote for Fredric March (Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde 1931), who won Academy Award for best male actor, which is the first, and only one of two best male actor Oscars for a horror film (the other being Anthony Hopkins for Lambs, if you count that a horror film).

George Lutz

The personality change that happens in this character has always creeped me out, and that's all because of acting, not special effects or makeup. So even though the competition is tough, and I know I'm probably the only one who won't vote for the wolf man, George Lutz has to have my vote.
