Trauma
Quote:
Awaking from a coma to discover his wife has been killed in a car accident, Ben's (Colin Firth) world may as well have come to an end. A few weeks later, Ben's out of hospital and, attempting to start a new life, he moves home and is befriended by a beautiful young neighbour Charlotte (Mena Suvari). My favorite kind of movies are the ones involving a descent into madness, so I loved the idea behind the movie. There was a point near about 3/4 of the way through where I decided I actually liked it. At first I thought that it was just a bad version of Jacob's Ladder but they seemed to get away from that after the first half hour. I thought the acting was pretty convincing, the story is really confusing at first but you can figure it out without too much trouble later on. I would have liked it more if it were scarier, he had a lot of hallucinations that kind of ended just before they could be scary.
Anyway, I liked it. :)
