Darkman 3
Starring that guy who plays Imhotep in The Mummy and the one that plays the bad guy in Men At Work.
Overal not bad. Better than expected.

I haven't seen the movie in a while. But weren't they disagreeing about something at that point. To the point where they weren't going to be friends anymore. I remember seeing that scene in the 90s and thought it was too much only because they started doing wrestling moves on cement.

But I love the movie. Very freaky and plays on paranoia.

247°F -

I thought this was going to be a horror movie. I saw the trailer a while back. The premise seemed stupid but girls stuck in a sauna! Those are old or European things. I've only been in them a few times and that was a long time ago. Most people talk about hot tubs these days. But that Friday the 13th Part 8 sauna scene was good. Just maybe a movie based on a sauna could be good. And the trailer really played on the girls and horror elements. The movie was probably sold on it unless something shady was going on. I figured at 87 minutes it couldn't be that bad. Thankfully I didn't pay to see this mess. This is one of those movies where you want your 87 minutes back. I should have known it was going to be bad from a few things early on.

1. Casting. Scout Taylor-Compton and Tyler Mane were both in that horrible Halloween remake. Scout Taylor-Compton was also in the equally bad April Fool's Day remake. Add in the annoying guy from the Friday the 13th remake, I know all of the guys in that were annoying, and the throwaway guy from the Night of the Demons remake and alarm bells should have been ringing in my head.

2. "Based on a true story." This never works well in the opening of a horror movie.

3. Overly sentimental opening with a couple. You know something bad will happen to them.

What this movie is, is one of those Ladies Movie Network shows. Where the jealous ex-boyfriend comes after the girl or where the girl has to overcome some mental trauma because of a guy. It pretends to be a horror movie from the advertisements. I did think for a second that maybe they were going to go The Descent route. But that's too good for this movie. In the end the movie is just a don't do drugs in a country house with idiots movie. The only good things in this movie are a funny electrocution sequence, that is really common sense and an Ashley Greene look a like that can't act. And there is no nudity at all in this mess but the worse kind of dull sex scene with the girl's shirt on.

My Soul to Take (2010).

This as been on my watch list for some time, I kept pushing back with all the bad comments and reviews I saw.

So finally gave it go last night!

I thought the start of the movie was really good, I really enjoyed that part of the movie, it was bit confusing at the start, but that what made it more fun to me.

For me that was the best part of the movie, I didn't think the rest of the movie was as good as that but I didn't find the movie boring at all.

I thought it flowed really well at times, I don't think it drag on at all. and found the death to bit boring at times, some blood moment but nothing gory.

I didn't find anything scary or creepy in this movie, , I wasn't fan of the ending at all

As I expected to be a really bad movie, that may have help, not being so let down by it, I didn't think was as bad some comments made out to be.

It was one of weakest movie from Wes Craven. who brought you Elm street and Scream movies.

4 out of 10

I was off yesterday with a bad knee - had to keep my leg up so i watched movies:

On the Nose

i think this was a movie made by Canadians - shot in Ireland
Dan Aykroyd and Robbie Coltrane in a comedy about a medical specimen head in a jar that can predict horse race winners

Here's to Life

Another Canadian flick about a senior (James Whitmore) who blackmails the young, seemingly uncaring head of a seniors home into taking him and a couple of others (including Ozzie Davis) on a road trip. I actually teared up a couple of times at this one

RUSH - Beyond the Lighted Stage

Documentary about the Canadian band RUSH. Really enjoyed this - Was very surprised at the number of extremely well known and diverse american musicians who were influenced by these guys.

Year of the Dog

Molly Shannon plays a lonely woman and her relationships with dogs vs people. Also very sad in parts.

The 300 Spartans

Older telling about the 300 men who held off (for a time) the Persian army from invading Greece and inspired the rest of a divided Greece to do the rest.

Will have to check this one out. Yeah Rush were huge for a lot of people and along with Kiss or the Ramones made a bunch of folk pick up a guitar.

Bad Milo (2013)

The plot may put some people off this movie, this movie is about Duncan you got creature in his A** and who ever cause Duncan stress, it will come out and kill them then go back into his A** !

This movie was perfect for me , as these are my kind of movies, this movie had me laughing so much, I can not remember last time laughed some much at a movie.

Milo was not that bad looking, it did look scary enough and in someway it looked kind cute as the same time.

There were decent bloodly moment in this movie, which I thought were really fun not too gory.

Soon as the Dad was on screen, I kind of knew were they were they going go with that, the fight scene was awesome, I was almost on floor laughing my head off.

I saw the ending coming, I loved there be a sequel and the acting was pefect!

Move over Gizmo, Milo here!

For me this a Classic! . Going to give a 9 out 10 (Still not as good gremlins but better the Critters)

I, Frankenstein in IMAX 3D
Enjoyable. I wasn't blown away by it, but it was worth the money. I'll probably buy the DVD when it comes out.

Birth of the Living Dead
Do documentaries count as movies? Enjoyed hearing all the tidbits that I'd never heard before regarding the making of Night of the Living Dead.
