Notes on a scandle:
Not bad, great performances, Weird interesting plot. Hoiwever, i am pretty much bored with "a day in the life of" movies, i dont care how bizarre that day (or week or whatever) may be

Freedom Writers:
Very much reminded me of Lean on Me, the made for tv movie with matthew perry, and a slew of other "he/she made a huge impact in some troubled teens' lives" movies. That being said, like pretty much all o fthe other ones, it was well done and thought provoking, basically a good watch

The Devil's Backbone:
Odd, creepy, interesting. very good. Climactic death of villain was VERY anti climactic, but the movie was great, and the brutality leading up to the death was great :)

Brutal

I'll start by saying Michael Berryman did an absolutely AWESOME job of acting in this one. Aside from that it was a fairly original serial killer film, but the annoying sideplots got distracting after a while. It was brutal at times and the gore looked good, but it was also a bit slow moving at times. All in all, it was entertaining, but not fantastic and certainly not for everyone.

The Number 23

This movie started confusing, got more confusing and then almost completely lost me before finally trying to make some sense of things at the end. Jim Carrey does a fine job in a dramatic role, but the film itself just isn't that thrilling, which is kinda a key component of thrillers. Te sole reasons he's obsessed with the number 23 are kinda stupid to begin with. Who freaks out because a number rules their life? I don't know... This really didn't do it for me. Give me Dumber & Dumber or Cable Guy Jim Carrey over this one any day.
