No, this is the one about that big bear at the forest preserve who steals picnic baskets. At least I think...

Do you think it's more realistic that theres a guy who drowned in a lake and now kills people left and right and has the power to heal himself? How about a man escaped from an assylum that just can't die? Horror movies aren't realistic, buddy. That's why we like 'em.
Agreed.

I love how this is actually one of the more realistic ones out there, as far as Supernatural horror goes.

BUT anyway, I actually think it was 50/50...Kubrick really pulled this together, but try to imagine it without Nicholson...I can't.
Kubrick did have an interesting way of shooting the movie, that's for sure. Like when Nicholson is talking to the ghost in the bathroom. The first time I saw it I thought he was making eye contact, but he's actually looking in the mirror and talking to his reflection.

Can't say I think it's the greatest horror movie of all time, but there are several things about it that make me like it more with each time I watch it.

yes this was written by Stephen King. And what do you expect about the mom, she was Olive Oilin the Popeye movie with Robin Williams.
