Creeper, you're one of the last men on earth that I would call a pussy. There are a lot of people afraid to fly. It's not the greatest feeling in the world to honestly have no control over your evironment. In fact, it sucks.

Try to get seats in the middle of the plane. That way, you won't really have a a vantage point as to what's going on. From here you can take a drink, or maybe a sedative and fall asleep through most of the flight.

Honestly though, and this is coming from a career acrophobe, the worst thing about flying is going to the bathroom.

Creeper.........................

The sharks name in jaws was Bruce... not jaws.:D lol.

But... flying is fun. Just get an aisle seat and you don't have to look out the window. Also, you almost forget your moving on long straight flights because it usually smooths out.

Can you guys believe that Red Eye was our in-flight movie going to aruba? That has the be the WORST choice of movie, especially if there are nervous flyers on board.

I myself HATE to fly so in october, before i flew to Florida, i invested about $150 in a portable DVD player. I watched a movie and a concert to keep my mind off of the flight. It worked wonders.

Don't make eye contact with the stranger on either side of you. They'll want to talk, and you probably don't want that.

Now my problem. I fear nothing but flying and going into the ocean, SHARKS, so now I am going to be in a plane flying over the Pacific. How much worse could it possibly get.

So should I overcome the fear that I will probably be killed in a plane crash or survive the crash into the ocean only to become "chum" to Jaws' cousin?

Worst case scenario I end up on some fukin' island like that show "Lost" and have to spend the rest of my life eating coconuts, sushi, and running from "the others". I guess the island will need a "Locke" kind of guy for hunting and fishing type stuff but with my luck I will be stuck with a bunch of fukin Koreans who speak no english.
If you do go prepare yourself for a long trip. It took me about 26 hours, including plane changes in Alaska and Japan. It was one loooong trip. As far as surviving a plane crash to be eaten by sharks? I doubt it. You would probably die on impact or drown when you were knocked unconcious and sank with the remains of the plane.
One more thing... if you do have any free time to go out on the town, I know how those tech contest can be, do it. If nothing else check out the bar scene and the open markets. There is quite a night life in big cities like Seoul.

you'll be fine, take something to calm your nerves...drink,pills whatever and relax.

and as far as becoming "shark food" i would'nt worry about it...and that altitude and speed your plane would smack the water like concrete.

You're not going to be eaten by Jaws' cousin. Stop being silly.

99.9999999999% of the sharks in the water probably never even MET Bruce. So the likelihood of Jaws' cousin coming anywhere near you is next to nil

I was just kidding.

Actually, everything those other people said about the donkeys is true. You're gonna be fine in all probability. What you're worrying about doesn't happen that often. Look up statistics and you'll see. And yeah, have a few drinks at the airport bar, and make sure to bring 2 or 3 really cool paperbacks or a videogame, you'll do all right.

Don't worry....flying rocks. I've been doing it for 20 years now. It is very safe. Get a window seat and experience the takeoff and the view you have once you reach altitude, you'll like it.

I am going flying in a couple of weeks in a WW2 trainer, a Stearman Bi-Plane. It will be my first time up in a open cockpit. I can't wait to feel the wind in my face and the view is going to be fucking incredible!!!!!!!! :D
