NOVA - we had the same thing in my area - about four popped up of the same company "Mr. Lister" they advertised on TV and radio and newspaper all the time and then suddenly went bust and locked their doors. . . it took several weeks and the involvement of the police for some people to get their stuff back from the locked stores - a real mess.
as for the scams, i'm always getting e-mails from "paypal" about my account security and the need to update etc. . . but i have NEVER used paypal in my life. . . so more phishing! that said, i do have a lovely relationship with a diplomat's wife from kenya who promises to cut me in on their huge oil fortune once i get it out of the bank . . . then i'll open my paypal account

Well,I guess I can always open up another dollar store or chinese resturant (or cell phone store)........I mean,it's not like we have a bizillion of Those around...heehee. *and I swear each and every one of them does BANG-UP buisness-it's insane. There are 5 cell phone stores,4 chinese resturants and NINE dollar stores on one freakin road here. I'd be in heaven if they opened an Olive Garden here,I would EVEN stop bitchin about what a bumfuckin redneck hell I live in for an Olive Garden!!:D
