i saw him on a variety show in the 60's (i was 3 or 4 years old) where he was the brunt of a bunch of short jokes by this big guy -so he would bite the big guy ... i remember for a while after that being afraid to let my hands down over the bed while sleeping in fear that he was under my bed and would bite my fingers ..

The Candyman. The sad thing is I wasn't a kid; I was probably in my late teens, early 20's. I wouldn't say I was afraid of him (I do understand that he doesn't exist), but I still won't say "Candyman" while looking in a mirror. I know that's weird, but it's just a little quirk of mine. And I know a thing or two or three about quirks!!:p

Chuckie always scared me as a kid.
So did that goblin-ish thing from the end of Cat's Eye. Now I just laugh at him.
