I was commenting on the bit about the mask being "appealing" ... i was stating my opinion on that statement

Rob's just done some re-shoots, including 6 death scenes and a new ending.

I beleive the remake will be a disservice to the original. Halloween is a horror masterpiece and sometimes it's just best to let it be a materpiece without adding your take on it. I agree that Rob should've just made a Halloween 9 and add to the history of MM by using flashback. I'm not saying Rob can't make a good Halloween film, but trying to duplicate or even build on Carpenter's original film is dangerous.

Regarding the mask, I have two opinions. First, it is not as good as the original Shatner mask. The original mask is Halloween. If Rob was really trying to capture Halloween, he would've gone back to the original. However, the mask is much better than say, H2O on. The MM mask became too cartoonish. The eyebrows became very pronounced, defined cheekbones, etc.

I am excited however to see Rob's vision and see this movie. Hopefully it will revive the Halloween franchise.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm starting to feel a bit indifferent about the film. I want Zombie to succeed, but if he fucks up my favorite Horror Film of all time....
He will be DEAD to me.

A lot of people are calling it a "Re-make". He himself stated that it was a "Re-vision.
I was impressed with his 1st film House of a 1,000 Corpses, and I was very impressed with his 2nd film Devils Rejects.

Let's hope 3rd time the charm.

I'm looking forward to this movie, very much, my 2 favorite horror movies are Halloween and Devil's Rejects, I'll still love the original even if the remake is completely "How the fuck did this get past the writing stages?" I doubt I'll dislike it because of 6 simple reasons.

1. Michael Myers is in it.
2. Busta Rhymes isn't it it.
3. It's a Rob Zombie movie.
4. Ken fucking Foree.
5. William Forsythe.
6. Besides "Superbad" no other movies I'm interested in are released after "The Simpsons Movie" this Summer until "Hatchet".

Obviously nothing is going to compare to the original but having seen Rob Zombies other films I am expecting great things once again. I think his choice to steer away from the House of 1000 Corpses/Devils Rejects franchise is wise as it avoids turning cult fims into over commercialised money making piles of trash. we'll just have to wait anxiously and see.

Honestly in the entire halloween series the only 2 movies that really matterd to me were the first 2, those were the only 2 that really truly counted..and the first was legendary and has to be one of the greatest horror films in history and when i heard they were remaking it at first i felt a little iffy about it because i didnt think that it would be a good idea and that it would ruin the originals legacy but when i heard Rob Zombie was the mastermind behind it and i rememberd how much i loved House of 1000 Corpses and Devils Rejects i knew if any person could remake this movie and do it the way it should be done its him.

I watched the new tv trailer/spot and this movie looks like it will kick ass, don't get me wrong i agree that Halloween is a masterpiece and is also one of my favorite films of all time, but i think this will be a great horror film and am just excited to watch this when it comes out. don't think it can be any worse then the pieces of shit that have come out in the last year.
