Never knew Romero was going to have a crack it this. I love his adaptation of The Dark Half.

I never did get round to checking that out. Worth bothering with?

Yeah, man. I'm big on The Dark Half, too.
It's a shame he never got to finish The Stand, because it would have been really crazy and epic, I'm sure.

While I thoroughly enjoyed THE STAND in the earlier version I felt no compulsion to reread it in the unexpurgated edition that popped up years later. Never saw the mini but am looking forward to the Affleck film.

I enjoyed it. It was quite faithful to the book (I think 1 or 2 characters might have been merged). I guess there was room for improvement (TV movies tend to be a bit sappy and not as good looking as cinematic releases), but it is one of my favorite SK TV adaptations.

That's exactly my point. I HAVE seen The Town and thought he did a very good job.

The Town is an awesome flick. I also agree the original mini series of The Stand was very well done and faithful to the book. Any word as to if King will be involved with Afflecks project?

I didnt mean to come across like i was attacking anybody so sorry if i did. I just notice a lot of people bash him and i actually think he is a very good director. I'm hoping he does a good job though, maybe he'll surprise all of us.

No worries, dude. I hope he surprises all of us, too. It's just that so many people have made movies of King's books that ended up sucking really bad, and I'm tired of it. I want someone to make an amazing movie of one of his books.
